FAQ – KYSL Spring 2021 Season

Will my son/daughter be able to play with their friends?
We will do our best to accommodate every and all families. Please send in your request as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly. We cannot guarantee all requests will be granted.

What do I need to bring to practice?
Soccer ball, shin guards, cleats, face mask (worn to and from the car), hand sanitizer and bag (to hold all items listed).

Will teams be coached by volunteer parent coaches?
YES, practices and games will be conducted by a volunteer parent coach.

How do I request a specific volunteer parent coach?
During registration, you will have the option to fill in your desired coach’s name. PLEASE ensure you know your desired coach’s name.

How do I volunteer to become a parent coach?
During the registration process you will be asked whether or not you are interested in becoming a volunteer coach, select YES if interested.

Where will practices be located?
Practices will be held at a location, time of day and day of the week chosen by your parent volunteer coach.

How will teams be made up?
Participants are split into teams by grade level and placed on teams as close as available to their home (neighborhood) schools.

Can my son/daughter play up a grade level?
Yes, players are allowed to play up a grade level with parents’ permission.

Can my son/daughter play down a grade level?
NO, players cannot play down a grade level.

Are there any restrictions within practices?
NO.  Practices can run as normal. We will make sure players remain socially distant as often as possible.

How will games work this fall?
Games will still be on Saturday morning’s between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM.

When will games start?
Games will start Saturday, April 10th.

When will games end?
Games will end Saturday, May 15th.

When will practices start?
Practices will start the week of April 4th as scheduled by your volunteer parent coach.

When will practices end?
Practices will end the week of May 4th as scheduled by your volunteer parent coach.

When will game schedules be released communicated?
Game schedules will be announced by Sunday, March 28th.

Where will games be located?
All games will be at Stuart Sports Complex.

Do I need to order a uniform if I already have one?
NO, if you already have a uniform from past seasons you do not need to order a new uniform. Uniforms consist of a blue and gray shirt with black shorts and socks.

How do I order a uniform if I don’t have one/need a new one?
Uniforms can be ordered through Kirhofers’ KYSL shop once the website opens up.  That date is TBD.

Will spectators be allowed?
YES.  Spectators will be limited, and we will ask you to social distance.

What guidelines will Kickers Soccer Club follow ?
We will be following the most up-to-date guidelines from the Illinois Department of Public Health and the Illinois Youth Soccer Association.
