Kickers SC U11 Girls win the Great Lakes Tournament
by posted 09/22/2009

Congratulations to the Kickers U-11 Girls who won the Championship Game at the Great Lakes Soccer Challenge the weekend of September 18-20.  The Girls lost the opening match against the Tri-City Stars 1-0, but would have a chance at redemption on Sunday.  After defeating Lyons Township (5-1) and Team Chicago (4-3), the Girls were able to meet the Stars again in the Championship Game.  After a lightening delay and on a rain-soaked field, the girls and their parents braved the elements as the Kickers won 1-0 on an early goal.  Exceptional defense and tremendous intensity coupled with great saves at the Keeper position sealed the victory for the Kickers.

Well Done Girls. The team are pictured below with Head Coach Tony Charielle.
